Getting Started with Roc Solution

Welcome to Roc Solution! This guide will help you get started with playing guitar directly in your browser. No physical instrument needed - just your keyboard and a web browser.

Initial Setup

Step 1: Enable Audio

When you first visit Roc Solution, you'll need to enable audio. This is a browser security requirement:

1. Click anywhere on the page - This initializes the audio engine2. Look for the amber notification that says "Click anywhere to enable sound"3. Once clicked, the audio system is ready

Note: Audio must be enabled through user interaction due to browser autoplay policies.

Step 2: Understanding the Interface

The Roc Solution interface consists of several key components:

  • Fretboard: The main visual guitar neck with 6 strings and 14 frets (including open strings)
  • Tab Display: Located at the bottom, shows tablature notation
  • Controls: Sound settings (Volume, Tone, Reverb) and presets
  • Instrument Selector: Switch between different instruments
  • Keyboard Guide: Shows keyboard shortcuts

Step 3: Playing Your First Notes

You can play notes in two ways:

#### Method 1: Click the Fretboard

  • Simply click on any fret on any string
  • The note will play immediately
  • Visual feedback shows which note is active

#### Method 2: Use Your Keyboard

  • Each string is mapped to keyboard rows
  • Press keys to play notes (we'll cover the full layout in the Keyboard Shortcuts guide)

Step 4: Understanding String Layout

The fretboard displays 6 strings from top to bottom:

1. High E (E4) - Thinnest string, highest pitch2. B (B3)3. G (G3)4. D (D3)5. A (A2)6. Low E (E2) - Thickest string, lowest pitch

Basic Navigation Tips

  • Scroll horizontally on the fretboard to see all frets
  • Tab Display can be collapsed/expanded by clicking the header
  • Controls are always accessible at the top of the page
  • Use the Reset button to clear the current tab
